Hydraulic grapples from 's-Graveland, NL

Since 1995 Zijtveld has designed and built hydraulic grapples for demolition, recycling, civil works and forestry. Entirely in-house.

The poweris in the grip.

The S1204-D: a rotating demolition and sorting grapple for 17 to 28 tonne excavators.

Every componenthas a purpose.

A Zijtveld grapple looks simple. That is a choice: no unnecessary parts, no fragile electronics. Only what works.

01Pivot pins

Optional automatic lubrication: every three cycles the next pivot receives grease. No electronics involved.

Conceptual 3D model for this design proposal, scaled to the published S1204-D dimensions. Not an engineering drawing: in production the model comes from Zijtveld's CAD files.

The right toolfor every job.

Six product families, from a 50 kilo grapple to one of 18 tonnes. Pick a family to see what it does.

Demolition and sorting grapples

Two shells that demolish, sort and move with maximum control.

Engineered here.Trusted everywhere.

Every Zijtveld grapple is designed, produced and tested in the Netherlands. From design to final inspection: everything under one roof in 's-Graveland.

    Designed in 3D

Every grapple starts as a 3D model. Designs are also reviewed in virtual reality, with feedback from operators and dealers.

    Machining

An in-house, modern machining department makes the parts where precision matters: pivots and mating faces.

    Welding and fabrication

Frames and shells are built up from Hardox and high-grade steel by in-house welders and fitters.

    Assembly

Centre frame, slewing ring, cylinders and shells come together. Still bare steel, not yet painted.

    Final inspection

Dimensions are checked before a grapple leaves the factory. Testing happens in-house.

Built forthe real world.

Zijtveld grapples work every day in demolition, recycling, civil works, scrap and forestry. Developed from the work floor, not in isolation.

Demolition and construction

Demolition, sorting and construction work: grapples with internal end damping and low-maintenance systems that limit downtime.

From the field

“We chose the Zijtveld factory for their expertise and the very high quality of their products.”

Blanchard TP

“Very pleased with this grab, it holds well. I use it in hydraulic engineering where we set a lot of piles.”

Builtto perform.

Simplicity that works. Six product families, one factory, more than thirty years of craftsmanship.

Built on experience.Driven by innovation.

What started in a workshop grew into a modern manufacturing company with customers worldwide. The down-to-earth character stayed.
